Salvador, my 20-month-old son, has been cared for by Sandra for 8 months and I would 100% continue with her if I wasn’t moving to a new house and leaving the area.
My son absolutely adores Sandra and her wonderful family. She is a brilliant childminder and has taken such great care of Salvador over the year. Her children treat Salvador like a little brother and have taught him so much.
Her home is clean and warm and full of toys. It is the perfect environment for children. She filled Salvador’s days with fun games and outings to parks, soft-play and multiple play groups and I can honestly say that I had complete peace of mind when Salvador was with her. Her food is delicious and healthy and Salvador never refuses it!
When Sandra was looking after Salvador she would always send through updates with cute videos and photos – which made such a big difference to me when I went back to work and also made me feel involved and reassured at all times.
Sandra has also been helpful and reassuring with advice and tips on Salvador’s progress and development – which I really appreciated as a first-time mum.
As a key worker, I am also particularly grateful to Sandra for being so supportive, flexible and accommodating over the last few months during the pandemic.
Sandra and her family have become really special to us and I am genuinely sad to have to find a new childminder, because Sandra was so brilliant and it was a perfect match.
We found Sandra through a friends recommendation, and we very lucky that she had a space at the time that we were looking. Our daughter Alice spent 18 months in Sandra's care and completely thrived during her time with her. Sandra provides a wonderfully stimulating, caring, and happy environment for the children she looks after, and genuinely cares for them as though they are her own. Sandra always made sure that their days were full of all sorts of creative activities, and Alice seemed to learn something new from her every day - as well and having a lot of fun! What I particularly liked was that she also made sure they got out and about on adventures as well, and would take the kids out on trips to the park, RAF Museum, Kew Gardens etc, so it was lovely to know that they weren't just stuck indoors the whole time. As a new mum, Sandra was a great source of reassurance about Alice's development and she was very professional in making sure all of the EYFS milestones were reached, and kept a great diary of her journey throughout her time with her, which we still look through now. Sandra understands that it can be difficult for parents leaving their children every day, and she would send a daily text message outlining all the day's activities, photos and anything else noteworthy, so that you feel completely involved in your child's day. Alice absolutely loved her time with Sandra and made friends that she still has now with the other children who were also in her care at the time. We feel very lucky to have found her - so if she ever has any availability again, make sure you jump at it!
