About Me

Biography(notes on teaching below)

Kristiina Watt has enjoyed a varied range of performing activities throughout Europe.
An experienced performer in both solo and ensemble fields, she currently studies with Allan Neave at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Before coming to the UK, she has performed in all of the leading classical guitar festivals in Estonia.
She has premiered the works of young composers and performed music by prominent Estonian composers(Tonu Korvits,Rene Eespere).
She has appeared in estonian national television on several occasions and has been broadcast live on the national radio station for classical music.
She has been a member of many ensembles, most of what she has founded herself. With the Fiori Musicali early music trio she performed music from 17th century Italy, England and Scotland. With the young talented clarinetist Signe Somer she has premiered works by young estonian composers.

Kristiina still keenly develops her knowledge in different musical styles. She also studied the theorbo with scottish lutenist Jamie Akers and recently played a concert of Monteverdi's music in a collaboration of the RSAMD baroque ensemble and the AGOS opera department.
Kristiina has performed in Germany, Scotland, Estonia, Latvia and other places in Europe.

TEACHING

As a teacher Kristiina realises that the method for teaching will differ with each individual on account of their character, aims and ability and that as a teacher one cannot use the same method for each student. Her priority is to see a student realise his or her full potential and to achieve that through meeting the student's individual needs and wishes.

As someone who would like to have her own family in the future, Kristiina realises the importance of finding the right person to instruct your child to give his or her the best opportunities in life, and is wholeheartedly commited to each children's development.

Kristiina also offers tuition in general music theory, which can be a good headstart to music lessons at school.
