About Me
I have been a registered childminder for 10 years and have been graded a 'Good' on my last Ofsted inspection with outstanding areas.
I am married and a mother to four children, Tom aged 16,Jack aged 14, Evie aged 8 & Eleanor aged 10weeks. I enjoy looking after children and watching them progress.
I work with an assistant who has a level 3 in childcare also, so the children in our care have lots of fun and learn to socialise and interact with other children of their own age. We enjoy going to the soft play area for lots of climbing fun and love being outdoors and enjoying the weather. I have a large range of fun and educational toys for the children to enjoy and am flexible to suit each childs individual needs
I believe in taking children out in the fresh air, with lots of outside play, walks on the common and also walking to school everyday.
I love working with children and it is my aim to provide a warm safe and friendly environment in which your child/ children will thrive.
I provide home cooked evening meals and provide healthy snacks hroughout the day.
My Experience
Having had 4 wonderful children I feel I have had a lot experience dealing with children and have a lot of patience and know that every child is different and has different needs.
Before I became a childminder I worked in a well known nursey in York dealing with children starting at 3 months up and till they leave for school at the age of 4 or 5. I also worked at my village pre-school for a short time before becoming a full time childminder.
Also having had 12 years experience as a childminder, I feel very comfortable in knowledge and expertise that I can provide good care for your child/ren
I have recently become a North Yorkshire leading childminder.

I went back to work, full time, after just over a years maternity in September this year. I had originally decided on another childminder, closer to my work, but changed my mind at the last minute-that's when I viewed Lindsey's profile. We began talking on the phone and, together with my little boy, we visited her at home. I was welcomed into her home and felt at ease. It was just like the environment I wanted for Nathan-safe, warm and met her husband and three (very polite) children. My little boy (then 12 months) is not not clingy but at the same time won't just go to anyone. Within a short space of time Nathan was behaving like he'd been in Lindsey's family forever and a day. I have heard some horror stories about nurseries and it just wasn't for us. I wanted to be able to drop Nathan off and not worry that he was being forgotten about in a sea of children and ever rotating staff. I can hand on heart say I never worry when he's with Lindsey-manly because she sends me photographs throughout the day. I can't recommend Lindsey enough.
