About Me
I am 32 years old, who has a passion for my job; for as long as I can remember I have always wanted to do a caring job role and when I left school I knew childcare was right for me.
I have a 7 year old boy, who is at school and a 3 year old girl, who has just started at a school nursery.
Having my own children is something I have always dreamed of.
When I am not on mummy duty I enjoy listening to a variety of music, reading through my pile of books, meeting new people and colouring in.
Whilst I've been at home with my children in the day I have been able to plan activities for him, making sure I cover all areas of learning and using my childcare qualification. Over the years I have done lots of crafts with him, made sensory trays for him and love going out on days out with him; even if it was just to the park - the simple days are the BEST, as long as you are making memories together.
I hold a clean, full driving license and have done for 14 years now and own a car.
My Experience
I have been working in childcare for 14 years now. I started working as a playworker for an afterschool club, whilst I completed my Level 3 childcare qualification, at East Surrey college.
After I qualified I was employed at a family run nursery, there I worked with preschool children.
In 2009 I started working at Asquith nursery in Redhill, where I was able to experience working with Preschool, Toddlers and Babies. I shared the role of running the room with the Room Leader and was able to plan different activites for the children, as well as providing activities that met all different aspects of learning. I experienced handling food and dealing with children who had dietary requirements.
In 2014 I left the nursery after being offered a nanny position, looking after a 2 year old & a 4 year old; 3 days a week.
I had sole charge for them all day, which included doing nursery drop offs and pick ups, going on play dates and after school activities.
During this time I did a school pick up for two other children on the days I wasn't nannying, this involved bringing the children back to their home, preparing tea and supervising activities.
After 18 months I went on maternity leave to have my baby.
Once my maternity was over I moved on from my nanny job and continued doing the school pick ups for the second fvamily on a full time basis; as this fitted in more for my family.
I have been doing this role since 2016, bringing my little boy with me and then working with both after lockdown eased. I have thoroughly enjoyed doing a nanny school pick up role. I have been in charge of 3 children as well as my own, preparing tea and juggling after school clubs.
I am currently now looking for a new nanny role, either a role o can bring both my children with me or one where I Can work whilst my daughter is at nursery.
Ideally I would like a term time nanny job .
My Qualifications
I have held a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education for 14 years.
