Professional Career Nanny | Travel & Event Nanny

I am a dedicated, reliable, honest and caring professional nanny with over 25 years of childcare experience. I have experience caring for children from newborn through to 17 years, with particular expertise in newborns, babies and children under five.

I am warm, calm and easy-going, with a happy-go-lucky personality. I believe children thrive when they feel secure, respected, listened to and understood. My approach is gentle and child-led, with age-appropriate communication rather than harsh discipline or unnecessary time-outs.

I believe children benefit from a balance of freedom and structure — following their interests and allowing them to learn through play, while providing consistent routines, clear boundaries and positive role modelling.

I am familiar with Montessori and Steiner/Waldorf philosophies, and have experience with SEN, including ASD, PDA and ADHD.

I love being outdoors and making the most of the environment around us — whether that’s the beach, moors, parks, woodland or simply exploring. Equally, I’m very happy at home doing crafts, baking, reading, imaginative play and other activities.

I am also a great cook, particularly enjoying preparing fresh, organic and locally sourced food.

I have worked in several countries and have extensive experience travelling with families. I am discreet, professional and happy to sign an NDA where required.

I am also a mother to a 20-year-old son and previously ran my own small business while homeschooling him. I have a particular understanding of alternative approaches to education and child-led learning.

For several years I lived on Dartmoor, where I grew vegetables, kept chickens, cooked outdoors and enjoyed a much more self-sufficient way of life. I grew up on a cattle and sheep farm in Western Australia, so animals and the outdoors have always been a big part of my life. I also have boating experience.

Outside of childcare, I enjoy travelling, music, festivals, camping, gardening, swimming, kayaking, reading, herbs and homeopathy, and spending time with my family and pets.

Practicalities

• Up-to-date Enhanced DBS and registered with the Update Service
• Current Paediatric First Aid certificate (although updating is due, which will happen asap)
• Full UK driving licence
• Non-smoker
• Can be Ofsted registered if required
• Excellent references available
• Available for live-in, live-out, rota, travel, event or daily positions

I have lived in Devon for 18 years and in the UK for over 30 years.

I genuinely love what I do and take great pride in providing children with a safe, happy and nurturing environment, while giving parents the confidence that their children are in experienced, capable and caring hands.
