Travel and event Nanny.

I am a dedicated, reliable, honest, hard working, caring,qualified Nanny of 25 years plus. Mother to a 20 year old son
I have a happy go lucky disposition, joyful, calm and laid back.
I am experienced with age 0-17 years. Specialising In newborn to 5 years!

I take a mindful approach to taking care of children, as I feel there is no need for harsh discipline, time outs etc.
Instead, thoughtful age appropriate communication, understanding and most of all a loving mutually respectful environment.
I follow a child led approach. As I believe children are happiest and learn best when they are engaging in activities they want to do.
I do however think that children benefit from a regular routine. With clear boundaries set and modelling good behaviour.
I’m familiar with the Montessori and the Steiner/Waldorf approach, having been schooled briefly myself, as well as my son, and Nanny children.

I will always be prompt and on time.
I am experience with SEN, specifically ASD PDA and ADHD.

I love being outdoors, the beach, the moors, parks, but I’m happy staying at home with the children doing craft and other activities as well.
I am a great cook. And particularly enjoy sourcing organic and local foods to prepare.

I’ve lived in Devon for 18 years, and lived in the U.K for just over 30 years.
My hobbies include travelling, of which I’ve done extensively, music, festivals, camping homeopathy,herbs, reading, swimming, kayaking, gardening,and spending quality time with my family and pets.
I love animals and grew up on a cattle and sheep farm in Western Australia. And have boating experience.
I currently have two cats.

I ran my own small business when I decided to homeschool, my then young son from home. Because of dyslexia, following the unschooling philosophy,
Dog boarding, walking and pet care for three years.
I also had land on Dartmoor and grew my own vegetables, Kept chickens, had a shepherds hut and did lots of open fire cooking.

I’ve worked in many different countries and worked for high profile families in the music industry and travelled with them. I’m discreet. Am happy to sign NDAs.
I’ve been live in, live out, a nanny/housekeeper and a PA. I can be live in or out, rota, proxy parenting or daily.

My DBS is up to date. And available on the online service.
I have an up to date paediatric first aid certificate.
I can be Ofsted registered if required. Yearly fees apply.
I have a full U.K driving licence, and a non smoker.
I can provide excellent references.

Full time day rate starts at £17.50per hour
Babysitting once children are in bed £16.50 per hour.
