About Me
my name is Ann i live in Lordswood, i am 59 years old, i started child-minding just over t2 years ago. I have three grown up children and 8 grandchildren. i love looking after children and being with them they make me laugh with the things they do and say. I have a first-aid certificate which i update every three years. I am accredited to provide nursery education, i take child-care vouchers. My last ofsted report was graded outstanding.I attend courses throughout the year to keep up with the new ofsted requirements and to learn more information about childcare. I have a big playroom with lots of toys for all age ranges. I like to take children to groups, woodland walks, to the library, baking and i do messy play with them. I am a believer that children learn through play. I have a insurance that covers me to take the children out in my car and car seats for all ages are checked on a regular basis we also go out in the car for outings.
My Experience
12 years experience in childcare. I also have three children of my own and helped to bring up my 10 grandchildren. I also used to look after my niece fulltime.
My Qualifications
level 3 in childcare, I also go on courses three times a year to keep up to date with the ofsted requirements needed for childcare, I am also accredited to the ncma.
My Availability
1 full time space for a child under 5 and a space for Thursday and Friday for a child under the age of 5.

Leaving your child to go to work is one of the hardest things to go through - thank goodness for Ann!
Ann is always there to greet you with a warm smile at the start of the day and works very hard to make sure that her setting is safe, immaculately clean and most of all child friendly. Ann is extremely kind, caring and professional. As a family we have found her to be extremely supportive, understanding, reliable and consistent.
I have never once worried about whether my children are safe in her care - I trust her as though she was a family member.
The children experience a wide range of activities and go out and about in the local area. Ann has a fantastic selection of toys for them to play with and really helps the children to learn how to play with each other in a caring and friendly way.
Finding Ann three years ago was a real blessing to our family.

Our 4 year old daughter (M) has been in Ann’s care since she was 6 months.
Choosing Ann as our childminder was one of the best decisions we have made in our life. It just felt natural from the time we first met her.
Beforehand I was always worried about the idea of leaving our daughter with somebody else, about how it would feel to trust somebody external to our family with her life. I have to say I have never been stressed while leaving her with Ann even at the beginning. M must have felt the same as she never cried when I was leaving in the morning.
Ann is great with the children. I have been able to see year after year how she looks after them, with the perfect balance of one-to-one attention and group activities. M loves her. She has for her the figure of an extra grand-mother.
Ann’s settings are perfect for children with a wide and full of toy play room and a great garden especially arranged for children’s needs. Ann makes sure their activities are varied, including play time and learning time at home, going to the library, toddler groups, walks, going to the park. It allows children to see different places and people, gain confidence and develop their personality.
I really like the fact that Ann always tells you what your child has been up on a daily basis but also in quarterly reports which are a delight to read. It is so nice to know what they do and how they progress!
Ann always makes sure that she is up to date with every aspects of childminding and keeps you informed of what is happening/changing.
In brief I would say that Ann is a great childminder, that if you are looking for a caring, trustful person to look after your child she is the one!

Overall
Our two year old son has been going to Ann for a just over year now, he absolutely loves going and we genuinely couldn't be happier. Her home is always warm and welcoming (and is extremely well stocked with toys and activities to keep even the busiest children entertained) She has a lovely garden (also full of toys) and the children often have outdoor play.
Ann is so supportive which all aspects of development including potty training and has given us so much help and advise. She has made our lives so much easier and we are going to work knowing our little man is in the best hands, we can not recommended her enough!
