About Me
I am a mum of two and having been made redundant during my second pregnancy I decided to train to do a job I had wanted to do for many years and combine it with looking after my own children and doing a job that I love. I have now been minding since 2009. I offer a variety of activities and enjoy taking the children in my care on lots of adventures we visit local playgroups, softplay areas, local singing groups, farms, library, parks etc. We also attend our local childminders group on a weekly basis. We also go to our local forest school sessions where children do lots of activities, we also have children’s yoga and weekly Spanish lessons . .
My home is a warm and friendly enviornment where children are free to express themselves and develop their independance and enjoy their time. I have a wide variety of toys for children to play with in our purpose built playroom and a safe and secure garden for them to play in with lots of toys and equipment to keep them entertained..
I employ assistants who work alongside me and we care for various ages of children we are a larger setting than usual and as we have the flexibility of cover we find we can cater for children’s individual needs on a more personal basis.
I offer lots of messy play, painting,sticking, cutting, playdoh, muddy puddle jumping etc. I strongly believe in children's choice and they mostly have free choice on what they wish to do, and where possible we make this happen.
We have a safe and secure garden which offer toys to suit all ages and a decked area which is safe and secure for younger children.
My Experience
I have been fully DBS checked and hold the relevant public liability insurance, along with car insurance for business use.
I have completed a full first aid course.
I am a Pacey member .
During my Ofsted inspection I was awarded a GOOD rating.
