About Me

Hello,

I have worked in the childcare industry for 9 years now. I love my job and what I do. I currently work with an amazing family, and I have some time off over December where I am available to help out other families with some babysitting.

Do get in touch if you are interested.

I have experience with a range of ages from new born up to 15 years old. I have worked in Nurseries, watersports camps, childrens party clubs, and nannied for private families.

Look forward to hear from you.

My Experience

December 2015-April 2016

T4 Nanny in Val D'isere

I worked in Val D'isere as a T4 Nanny! This job enabled me to work with many different ages per week. I have had new borns up to 14 years. It is always something different each week and I look forward to meeting my the new families every time! ( even though sometimes it is hard to leave them at the end of the week as I build up a relationship with the children very quickly! )
Depending on the ages there are many different activities here which I take them to, Including: swimming, ice skating, Softplay, going and getting hot chocolates when its a tad chilly! and baking cakes inside when ski school has been a bit too much in the mornings for them!

Some feedback from the parents I have received so far

"This fabulous feedback has just arrived for Dominique one of nannies in Val d'Isere. Well done!!
After deciding to take Sophia, our first child, out skiing at four months of age, Dominique was very reassuring and a fantastic nanny. She was always punctual, happy to be flexible, and most importantly brilliant with Sophia, always very happy and smiley. She took on board everything we told her and enabled us to really enjoy our holiday with the peace of mind that Sophia was being really well looked after - entertained and getting enough sleep! She was also to happy to work around a breast-fed baby. After some initial concerns about leaving our baby with a “stranger”, we can’t recommend Dominique and T4 nannies highly enough."

"Huge thanks to Dominique. See you again soon. What a star! Enjoy the snow!! -"

PGL - La fosca. Group Leader - April 2015 - September 2015
This summer I went and worked for PGL in Spain working as a group Leader where I was in charge of the guests ensuring they are having fun and making the most of their experience with us!
My day began by taking thee group to breakfast, then making sure that they had all the right equipment with them for their activities that day. We then would head down to the beach where i organised them into groups and went out on to the water with them joining in on the games and teaching them sailing.
In the evenings I would then provide evening entertainment for them and play games such as Robot wars. As well as being in charge of the children I I would also be the main source of contact for the teachers ensuring that all their needs are being met, keeping up to the high standard we had!

Nanny – October 2014 – March 2015

I recently relocated to Cambridge in October where I began nannying for a family. One boy age 9 and one girl aged 14. However due to unfortunate circumstances I have had to move back down to Surrey meaning I had to leave the family after such a short time.
My duties included arriving at the house at 6:45 every morning, preparing breakfast and ensuring everything was ready for school. I then would bike the children to school each morning. Attend to any errands which needed doing for example picking up the dry cleaning, going food shopping. After school I would make sure that all the homework was done and take the children to any after school activities before giving them their dinner.
I also took up the role of house keeper where I ensured that the house was always tidy and clean. All the washing and ironing was always done everyday. I prepared fresh meals for the family each day making sure that the children has a healthy lifestyle.

Nanny - January 2013 - May 2014

I was employed as a Nanny for three children. Two boys aged 5 and 7 and one girl aged 9.
My duties included arriving at the house at 7am when the parents depart. Breakfast is prepared for the children and bags checked for school. I drive them to school each morning.
Household chores ensure that all the washing and ironing is completed and bed sheets are changed frequently.
I organized the food shopping for the family and attend to any errands required.
I also organized parties for the children.
I collect all three children at the end of the school day, bringing them back to their home giving them a snack, making sure homework is done. After school activities everyday occur each day.
After their activities I organize their dinner making fresh meals each day. I am careful that the children eat healthy and have a well balanced diet.
I always leave a tidy home and check their rooms are tidy. School uniform is prepared for the morning and a checklist is completed for the following day.
I love working with children, and build relationships with them easily, showing them my love and care, making sure that their every need is met.

Nursery Nurse at Little Treasures Nursery, Caterham on the Hill – September 2011 –December 2012

At Little Treasures I was based in the baby room. However I have experience working with all different ages as I moved around as required.
My duties included ensuring the children were well fed e.g. feeding them breakfast/lunch/dinner and snacks.
Make sure they are comfortable throughout the day through changing nappies and organizing nap times.
I am enthusiastic in my job at all times, to ensure children have fun whilst in my care. I also bring a creative aspect into my work, e.g.) designing different wall displays.
I love letting the children explore the many different creative activities that can help with their development.
I use my first aid and safe guarding knowledge effectively to keep children secure at all times whether that be inside the room, outside on walks, or up in soft play.
I believe that it is very important to keep communication between yourself and the parents at all times ensuring that they feel safe and happy leaving their children. At the end of the day I always make sure that I speak to the parents letting them know how their child's day has been and updates of their progress.

PGL- May 2012- September 2012

Summer 2012 I took 5 months out of working at Little Treasures to go to work at a children’s holiday camp in the South of France called PGL. I thoroughly enjoyed working at the summer camp. I gained a lot of new experience working with an older age group ranging from 13-17 years.
I worked in the kitchen as a kitchen assistant where I gained my Food and Hygiene and health and safety qualifications. I helped with food preparation, serving the meals, ensuring everyone was always happy and had plenty of drinks at all times. As well as cleaning duties. I also often helped out in the bar in the evening serving drinks to the guests and teachers.
