About Me
My name is Samantha but I like to be called Sami, I am 29years old and have 3 young children myself, Callan 10 years and Charlie 5 and Cobie 10 months old. I am currently on maternity leave from work at the moment and I am looking into a range of career paths that I could take now that I have 3 boys. I have a range of experience in working with children and I am flexible on what types of childcare I can offer, from part time, full time etc.
My Experience
At secondary school I spent three years studying early education in childcare, with this I went on to do placement at nurseries and primary schools and then completed a national progression award in childcare. I then went on to get a job as a trainee nursery nurse in which I gained my SVQ level 3 in children's care, learning and development.
I then went on to working in various nurseries around Aberdeen, including Albyn School nursery, St Swithin and Bridges Nursery.
Once I had my first Child I then went into working in a secondary school as a Pupil Support Assistant which I loved.
I am currently employed by the council working as an Early years practitioner in one of their settings.
Since having my children , I feel I have more knowledge and experience with children of all ages, we do lots of activities at the weekends, including swimming, walks, picnics at the park, soft play areas and art/craft and messy play at home. I also have experience with children who have additional support needs as my child has ADHD.
Childcare is my passion and I am looking to find a career in this sector that can be flexible around having children too.

I have attended a range of courses throughout the years in regards to enhancing children’s development through play.

My Availability
I am looking to help families with childcare needs. I could offer a part time/full time nanny position. I'm open to any offers but it would need to be flexible with having children of my own.
