OFSTED RATED AT FIRST INSPECTION = GOOD
Hi, my name is Carol. I care for children in partnership with my husband Brian who are also registered childminders.
I was rated GOOD by OFSTED in my most recent inspection.
We are based in a bungalow with a large garden to the rear, this means that all the facilities are on the ground floor and the children have plenty of opportunity and space to play both indoors and outdoors.
My younger daughter (aged 22) is registered with OFSTED as a Childminding Assistant.
Because we childmind together we have a considerable amount of flexibility in terms of providing both part time and full time places.
Fizgigg the guinea pig his friends and Pippin and Tips the rabbits live in hutches in the rear garden and are very happy when the children come to say "Hello" and feed them, but Pippin and Tips insist that this is always supervised and with parental permission.
We offer bespoke care for your child as an individual within a small group of children.
We provide meals and snacks for the children in our care for no extra cost.
We provide the FREE 15 hours childcare for eligible 2-year-olds "Early Learning for Two's" (ELT).
We provide the FREE 15 hours nursery education for all 3 & 4-year-olds. "Universal entitlement".
We provide the additional FREE 15 hours funded care for eligible 3 & 4-year-olds available to working parents.

My Experience
I have previous experience of being a childminder when my own children were younger. I also have considerable experience of working with children and young people on a voluntary basis over many years. I also have experience in working in a school environment and also for the Local Authority in a family support capacity.
Brian has a First Class Honours Degree in Integrated Childhood Studies and also has many years experience of working with children, having been a child minder in the past and also through his work in the voluntary sector.
My Qualifications
* We have completed the Local Authority pre registration training,
* We hold a Paediatric First Aid qualification,
* We have Food Safety level 2 Certificate,
* I attended the Local Authority Safeguarding Children training.
We believe that ongoing training and professional development are important for maintaining high quality childcare. The Local Authority offer a range of training which I am able to access.
We are DBS (CRB) checked by OFSTED.
My Availability
Monday to Friday 7.30 am – 6.30 pm
Sorry No Sundays or Bank Holidays
We can do school pick ups and drop offs for Wednesbury Oak Academy , Ocker Hill Nursery School and Joseph Turner Primary School.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
Full Time Rate: £32.00 per day (this covers 9 hours, any additional time charged at part time rate - charged per 1/2 hour)
Part time Rate: £4.00 per hour
Saturday Rate: £6.00 per hour Mornings only by agreement
Unsociable Hours : £6.00 per hour
