About Me

Hi there! My name is Sarika. I am an Ofsted Registered childcare provider in Solihull. I hold a First Aid certificate and have been DBS checked. I am also a member of Pacey (Professional Body Association for childcare and Early Years) which allows me to keep up to date with training and developing my skills and knowledge.
Before becoming a Childminder, I worked for the NHS for 10 years as a Radiotherapist. Although I loved my job, the long shift work involved were proving difficult with home life and I found I wasn’t able to spend quality time with my little girls. It is at this point I decided to give up my job, in the view of becoming a childminder. I loved the idea of being at home watching my own girls grow and develop whilst providing a stimulating and nurturing environment for other children in my care.
I live in a four bedroom house with my husband and two beautiful daughters- aged 5 & 8
As a mother of two, I personally understand the challenges faced when it comes to finding childcare. I aim provide a secure, home to home setting for your little one whilst encouraging learning and development in an enjoyable and fun way!
I have a spacious child friendly home equipped with toys, activities and resources, to stimulate your child's curiosity and build on their skills to expand their development in all 7 areas of the EYFS curriculum. The children will have access to a fun bright dedicated playroom with natural daylight and various activities. A large living room for quiet time, sharing stories and having a nap. An open-plan kitchen, where we will share healthy home-made meals and develop social skills. The kitchen will also be used for arts and craft sessions. The garden consists of a large safe space including a playhouse, swings, slide, climbing frame and a lovely seating area where we can all enjoy a picnic together!
