About Me

Hey all! My name is Holly and I am 28 years old. I would describe myself as a kind, confident, warm and caring girl who loves being around children.

What I love about being a nanny the most is that every day is different, and I love seeing the children I care for change each day and watch them grow into lovely independent little people.

I have a full clean driving license and own a car and have been driving since October 2011 so I can get around easily.
I am happy to travel a distance for the right family, I am happy to work term time only and school holidays/half terms.

I am very reliable and fully committed to any job I have.

I have a 4 year old son, George. He has always come to work with me since he was 15 months old but he is starting school in September and I can find cover for him 1 day per week, if needed.

My Experience

Whilst completing my Cache Course Level 3 in Childcare and Education at Hertford Regional College, I worked in a primary school for a year in Reception class and year 1, I then moved on to a nursery setting attached to a school in ware which was for 4 months, then finally worked in a private day care nursery where I learnt so much and enjoyed it throughly, this was for about 6-8 months then finished my course. I worked for a few weeks with them after qualifying then moved on to working with my mum at home as a registered assistant and I am currently nannying 4 days a week to a lovely family. I have done lots of babysitting, work experience in a playgroup, and absolutely love working with children. Lots of knowledge of the EYFS, learning and development - completing all types of observations for learning journals/Diaries and currently doing 2 year checks. Happy to arrange playdates, age, stage, ability appropriate activities for children adapting to the Early Years foundation stage and learning through play.

My most recent role was for 9 months and this only sadly came to an end, due to the family relocating. I was a 5 day (after school nanny) to two children aged 5 & 9.

I had been in this role for 19 months (since mid July 2020) This has changed a little since the youngest started nursery in September, but I am now doing afternoons only. This includes park trips, days out, school run on my days.

I was a sole charge after school nanny for 4 days per week, looking after 3 children. I collected 2 children from school using my own car and collected the youngest from nursery and supervised them until parents came home. This sadly came to an end due to the corona virus (June 2020)

I was a sole charge nanny for 2
children age 11 months and 5 years old. Working 3 days per week. I also did 2 afternoons per week for another family with children aged 7 and 9. Both of these roles came to an end after maternity leave, after I had my son who was born January 2019.

I had been with my previous nanny family for just over 3 years. I did all nursery duties such as washing, ironing, bedrooms, cooking, keeping playroom tidy, bedtime routines etc. School and nursery runs, homework/reading and organising play dates.
I have responsibility of them for 12 hours of the day, very often stay extra for babysitting after my working hours (very flexible)
I currently drive a nanny car during my work hours, do drop offs to school and nursery and picks ups. I take the youngest to weekly organised groups during the day also. I organise play dates and days out for the children too.

For the final year of the above job I did a nanny share, and had 4 children, on just 1 day per week but sometimes more if needed. Term time and holidays. This was lots of fun and very busy!
