About Me

Hi Parents,

I’m an energetic, fun, responsible, easy going, caring person who gets along with everyone.
I fell into childcare by accident when a couple of friends asked if I could help them out when they brought a Day Nursery, this was meant to be for a couple of weeks but ten years later I was still caring for children from new born up to the age of eighteen, some with various health issues.
As well as working in schools, nursery/pre schools and for private clients, I have also managed and run a large private nursery/pre school.
Due to a change in circumstances, I decided to leave childcare and go back into nursing/care working for an agency as this was more flexible to my needs and something I had done most of my working life.
I did not realise how much I would miss looking after children, so I decided.
it was possible to combine the two things I enjoyed, childcare and nursing. After seeing how hard it can be for parents to return to work because of childcare needs etc, working for families seemed to be the best option and it would still enable me to do the odd shift with the nursing agency.
I feel that I can make a difference to a family I work for, whether it be that the parents are able to return to work or just to give them a break if needed .
I enjoy art and creativity, walking and reading and to keep fit enjoy Zumba and dance both at classes and home. Where possible I am always trying to improve or to acquire new skills and enjoy spending time with my family.
