About Me
I am currently a nanny/Governess for one little boy in Edinburgh, I have been with this family for 7 years. I also have a P.A. Role within the family which I love.
Prior to this I was a nanny for 3 fabulous children and their family have now become good friends of ours. I was with them for 4 years.
I am available for, maternity cover/ illness cover or whilst you recruit a new nanny. I would also consider leaving my current family in the near future, which was due to come to fruition last year. I am relocating to Whitby at the end of this year, so I am considering looking for another family.
I am a qualified teacher with several Early years qualifications and paediatric 1st aid certificate, and a current police check in place. I am up to date with the current school curriculum in literacy and numeracy & The complete Early Years Foundation Stage including learning goals and assessments. I have extensive knowledge and experience of caring for children who have been deferred from starting school for a year. I have had a high level of training and practice within a Montessori environment. . . I travel to France a lot and have a very good understanding of the French language and lifestyle.
I have an innate desire to get the best out of all children and have a very positive nurturing personality,
I love the outdoors and don't believe in bad weather just being incorrectly dressed! That said snuggling by the fire with hot chocolate is good too!
I have very high standards & we live in a beautiful home in North Northumberland.
I have a clean driving licence and my own vehicle.
I am also a non smoker.

My Experience
I have managed two Early Years Settings, a popular village Nursery and a nursery attached to a play centre.
I am a competent business professional and managed my own adult education company where I taught around the North east for over 9 years in children's centres and schools, providing courses for parents. Mainly positive parenting, Cooking for the family, child behaviour, development & psychology and learning language, and play programmes.
These courses were always exceptionally well attended, and I have excellent feedback available to look at.
We are a blended family, we have 5 great kids between myself and my husband who is a retired from the police force (he is a fair bit older than me)
I am a very motivated dynamic high spirited fun person with bags of energy and a great sense of humour!
