About Me
My name is Roxy and I am very sociable, spontaneous, highly motivated, responsible and extremely patient. I have graduated from the University of Worcester where I studied Education Studies and gained a 2.1 Degree. My passion is working with children. Since I was a child, I knew I wanted to be a teacher and I feel that I have a duty to teach and help every single child. Being a Teaching Assistant or a nanny is the ideal role for me as I have a great deal of knowledge and experience in this field that I could bring to the role.
I have the ability to listen and understand the needs and aspirations of children. I have experience in interacting with both children and their careers, both verbally and in writing. I work well with my colleagues and strive to establish good working relationships. I can work on a 1-2-1 basis but I am also confident enough to work in a group scenario.
I´ve worked with children for the past 8 years, so I have a wide range of play/learning-related skills. I previously worked with children with special needs such as learning difficulties and autistics as part of a volunteer project and Learning Support Assistant in Osborne School. Having a positive personality with a good sense of humor is the key to succeeding.
I have previous experience of working as a Teacher in a European dimension, South America and also in an Arabic dimension. Also, I do have experience as au-pair and nanny.
This role needs an active listener; I always give my full attention to what other people are saying and ensure that I take the time to understand the points being made, asking questions where necessary, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. I noticed that by listening carefully to my pupils, I can encourage them to do these same and ultimately inspire them and their learning.
The children are of utmost importance to me, I want to help to increase their confidence, develop new skills and manage their behaviour. As with doctors, I believe that teachers/nannies have an oath to follow as well. Pushed by my passion - I am willing to do everything in my powers to make a difference in the Education System and children`s life. Being a teacher/nanny is what defines me best.
A good story makes one think, an exceptional one changes one’s life. I consider it is essential to be inspired as a child, to see, so you can grow - to learn, so you can improve yourself - to dream, so you can accomplish. I would love to *create a new lovely story* .
I am working at the bank at the moment but I also offer Spanish lessons. I am looking to help a family overnight or now and then.
