My name is Amy, I love working with children and being a role model and mentor. I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, First Class Honours. Since then I have worked in a number roles with children and youth as a nanny, occupational therapist, and learning support worker in both the home and school environments. I am responsible and enthusiastic with a genuine, caring nature. I appreciate the fact that every child has different strengths, interests and learning needs and I strongly believe in recognizing the unique care needs of each individual child. As a patient, reliable and nurturing person, I believe I have the qualities of an ideal nanny. In my spare time I love music, reading and films! I also enjoy arts and crafts, board games, sports, singing and dancing, swimming and being outside as much as possible. My Experience
I have worked for families with up to six children ranging from newborn to age fifteen. My years of experience in childcare have helped me develop a strong set of skills that allow me to maintain a positive working relationship with children, which aids both their engagement and my ability to connect with them. I have worked as a paediatric occupational therapist, where I help children to engage in all aspects of home life, school and play; through working on motor processing, sensory difficulties or socio-emotional challenges, all through fun and engaging activities.
