Hi! I am 21 years old and I graduated from University of Leeds, studying Psychology. I am a trainee teacher at a school on the Wirral. DBS checked.
I am a friendly, caring and trustworthy person and I love to work with children. I enjoy craft, creating and cooking so I can offer indoor and outdoor educational activities so will not be reliant of a TV! I am skilled in creating fun engaging and educational activities while demonstrating a priority for the children’s safety and well being. I have experience working with children as I am a qualified swimming teacher, teaching children aged 2-14, for a swim school in Leeds, and the Wirral prior to university. Since September I have been training to be a teacher through the PGCE school direct programme, with the hopes in the future to become an educational psychologist.
My Experience
I have been working with children ages 2-14 as a qualified swimming teacher for Helen Diamond Swimming on the Wirral prior to University and Swimbrite in Leeds/West Yorkshire whilst studying. I teach up to 6 children in a group whilst also providing private one-to-one lessons, for children with special needs, where I have formed a relationship with all parents and children. Within my work experience, I have volunteered at three local primary schools, St Bridgets, Great Meols and Neston Primary and I have enjoyed every one. I babysit for family friends and occasionally for a family through my work. Currently working at a primary school in Ellesmere Port whilst I gain my QTS in teacher training.
My Qualifications
I received 10 GCSEs (2A**, 2A*, 4A, 1B, 1C) and A*,A,A at A-level. I have completed a degree in BSc Psychology at the University of Leeds doing a Psychology degree; I have also completed qualifications through the STA.
