I am a 21 years old I have recently left my job as an apprentice due to a change of living circumstances in locations. I would consider myself to be flexible , reliable , hardworking , trustworthy and friendly. I have the ability to work with babies and children and I am keen to learn and gain more skills. I have a friendly and caring personality with good communication skills and can adapt to new situations quickly. I am currently looking for job position as a babysitter or a nanny and I can be flexible if need be am willing to pick children up before and after school if it is in walking distance or not to far as I can’t yet drive yet as I am taking driving lessons.
My Experience
I have worked in a day nursery as an apprentice in this job description I helped qualified and unqualified members of staff take care of the safety and well-being of the children in our setting. I also would participate in day to day jobs and activities involving staff and children in multiple nurseries within Rosedene. I would set up provocations for the children to play with and promote free play and curiosity within the childcare setting. I worked with children between 6 weeks to 5 years old we also have an after school club which aged 5 to 11 years. I also got to work with children with SEN across the nursery and support their needs when the children were in our care. I was also given a key child where I would support that child in their growth and development whilst encouraging them to excel in their development stages to see what help they needed in certain developmental areas. I have also worked in previous schools and day nurseries as a placement student and it has given me an insight into how it is to work in the childcare industry and the opportunity to work along with staff to care for the children. I enjoyed it very much and it made me more eager to achieve the goals I need to achieve so I can do it full time. Whilst in the placements I helped prepare and take part in activities with the children, support the staff however they needed and made sure that the children were safe and happy. Also I joined in on trips out with the staff and children.
