My Experience

Having worked in early years education for many years I have build up great experience with children.
As part of my current role as a nursery practitioner at I have built on skills such as continuous risk assessing, engaging children in group activities, and in an outside environment.
A key part of this role was to encourage children’s own learning in areas such as communication, socially and physically. From this I am confident in my own skills of helping children to learn social ques such as turn taking, navigating friendships and resolving conflict. I have also leant about leading many variety of activities and making sure the activities that are provided are engaging and appropriate for the given age groups and also making sure that there is a variety for children to choose from.
Food handling has also been apart of my role often covering dinners and giving out nutritional snack at break times and milk as well as knowing the children’s dietary requirements and making sure that they have an alternative available for them. Aswell as wearing the appropriate PPE when food handling and promoting handwashing.
During this role I worked towards policies and prodedures, such as safeguarding, food hygiene and positive behaviour policy, in order for the children to be safe, healthy and have the best experience.

I also regularly babysit children from the nursery I work at and babysit them alongside my four year old daughter. So happy to ask for references if needed.

I have also sen experience being a deputy Sen in my previous job

Non driver - so local nannying/babysitting is ideal but can travel if needed and hours suite. (More flexible for home care nannying/babysitting from Stannington message to discuss)

A meet up beforehand is ideal so I’m able to get to know you and your family and gives you an insight of if I may be the right fit for your family. Will provide ID, DBS and certificates on meet up and can email references from parents.
