I take pride in my passion for looking after children and my natural ability to teach them life skills through learning through play;recognizing each child has diverse individual needs corresponds with my ability to implement activities that are of the child’s interest, yet adheres to health and safety. Nothing beats exploring the great outdoors, and i'd ensure your children are stimulated by engaging in a variety of activities whilst ensuring your daily routine and rules and boundaries are followed.
I'm a 27 year old British woman who lives in East Farleigh, Maidstone.
You'll often find me on a long walk through the woods, dancing at a gig, in the gym, reading books, or drawing in my sketch pad (at a very amateur level).
My Experience
My total time of working in nurseries is 2 years, with 3 years of working in children's residential homes prior to that.
I worked in Townsend Montessori nursery for a brief 3 months until decided to pursue a different career path. I learnt the Montessori method and cared for children from 3months old up to 5 years.
My previous role was a nursery practitioner in a village nursery looking after children from the ages of 2-5 with sound knowledge of the EYFS. I thrive in the company of little people, and i'm constantly in awe of their innocence and characters. I have newborn experience through babysitting and through looking after relatives babies.
Previously I have worked within two different children's residential homes that involved caring for young people (ages 5-18) with complex needs and disabilities physically and mentally. I provided a parental role for these children, from ensuring they are up washed dressed and fed ready for school, to supporting them with life's challenges of maintaining healthy relationships, understanding themselves as people, and more.
My Qualifications
*Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People Within The Workforce
*12 hour First Aid
*Food and Hygiene
*Level 2 CACHE Certificate in Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health
* A levels- English literature C, Performing arts Merit
*GCSE's-English Literature B, English Language B, Maths C, Double Award Science C, ICT C, Food Technology B, Performing Arts Distinction, Art and Design B
My Availability
Mondays, Saturdays, Sundays- All day and evenings.
Tuesdays,Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays- From 6.30pm onwards.
