Hello I am a mum of 2 grown up children.
I have evening and holiday availability.
I recently qualified for 120 hour TEFL/TESOL and have PTTLS (Award in Education and Training Level 3) qualification.
Full DBS and full Driving Licence and car.
Please note I am not a qualified teacher but have endless patience with children. I would be able to help out with children and young adults.
My Experience
I have 20 years' experience of working with children and young adults with Special Needs. I worked at Spring Common Academy from 2003 as a TA eventually a Level 3 Team Lead and became an Instructor at Cambridge Regional College SEN dept in 2019.
I am currently a 1:1 outreach tutor.
I also have extensive experience as a carer for children and young adults with SEN as well as some experience with elderly service users.
My Qualifications
I have a Diploma in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management from 1990 which led to me becoming a Chef Manager in the 90s.
My A Levels were in English and French; I spent time working in France so have some French, not fluent !
After my children arrived I turned to the education system and became a Teaching Assistant.
I have extensive training within the school and further education system spanning 20 years.
I recently qualified for 120 hours TEFL TESOL to teach English as a foreign language and have Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
