About Me
I am a very patient person with lots of energy. Finishing a degree in Performing Arts in 2020, have given me skills suited to looking after children. Throughout my life I have competed competitively in tennis, my biggest achievement being, coming runner-up in the mixed doubles British colleges. I also have a passion for musical theatre. My many different interests would be able to educate your child as I'm very active and involved. Children's wellbeing is very important to me and I would check in on a regular basis and report. I've always been good with children and take looking after them very seriously, it's important that they grow independence and I am the perfect candidate for this.
My Experience
As well as looking after my 6 year-old sister on numerous occasions, I have also been teaching in Thailand. I have been teaching 5th grade English as a second language since, and I’ve loved every second. The students are excitable and willing, and I’ve been able to incorporate drama into my lessons to help them grasp the English language. From this experience, it has taught me to be over-prepared, so I will bring that into my work.
My Qualifications
I have a 160 hour TESOL qualification that I obtained through Xplore Asia. I also have a degree in Performing Arts (BA) with upper second class honours, and will begin my PGCE in drama teaching September 2022. I have recently undergone a DBS check also.
My Availability
I am looking for work starting from the beginning of July until the 28th of August. In September I will begin my teacher training for secondary school Drama teacher. There is a possibility that I will still be able to help after this as I will be close to Basingstoke, however this depends on workload. I would also be open to occasional evenings/overnights/weekends.
