My Experience
I have had practical experience of working in a wide variety of child care settings including day nurseries, pre-schools and a variety of infant and primary schools. I have been a nanny for 2 years now, providing families with young children full day care, providing respite care for a deaf child and providing before and after school care for several families.
I am currently working for one family providing before and after school care and few hours of childcare.
In February 2022 I worked as a before school nanny for a family with two children aged 4 years and 18 months old. I get them ready in the morning before school; breakfast, getting dressed, ensuring they have school supplies and then walking to school/ child minder.
In March 2021 I worked as a before and after school nanny for a family with two children aged 10 and 5 years old. I get them ready in the morning before school; breakfast, getting dressed, ensuring they have school supplies and snacks and maybe a little play if we have time! Then after school; picking them up from school, going to play parks, cooking, swimming, arts and crafts, making them tea.
In July 2021 I worked as a full day care nanny to a one year old boy. I carried out daily routines such as eating, dressing, nappy changes, play and sleep. I would take the child to toddler groups, trips to feed the ducks and to the park.
In October 2020 I worked as a respite nanny to a 11 year old deaf boy. I do cooking, games, helping the boy play his games on his tablet and computer, picking him up from school and helping him to care for his animals.
In May 2020 I was working as a weekend nanny for a four year old boy. I would take him on outings to the parks, dog walks, arts and crafts, puzzles, games, cooking, day outings to farms and the beach.
My Qualifications
National Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development Level 3 MMP achieved in July 2011
Foundation Degree in Early Years: Childcare and Education (Level 4 and 5) achieved in June 2014
BA Honors Degree in Childhood Studies – 2:2 (Level 6) achieved in June 2015
DBS Checked and on up to date system
