About Me

Hi there,
My name is Berta, I am 29 years old and I am from Barcelona. I am positive, reliable, kind, patient, creative, committed, energetic and always trying to give the best of myself.
I have been living in Edinburgh for over 6 years and I am still in love with this marvelous city! My favorite thing to do is… traveling and discovering new countries, places, cultures, food… and be amazed by the unknown.

My Experience

I worked as a nursery practictioner and later on as a Preschool teacher in 2 nurseries of Edinburgh (one based in Stockbridge and the other in Newington). Afterwards I discovered the nanny world and I became a nanny of a little girl and Household manager for 2 years. Currently and Temporary I am working as a full time nanny in Switzerland. In the meantime (when I am in Edinburgh) I do ad-hoc babysitting and some tutoring lessons (maths, writing, science…) for children aged 3-12 years old.

My Qualifications

I have a preschool and primary teaching degree. I have also been doing pedagogical courses related to supporting children’s development during the early years, how to create attractive environments and challenging activities for children in order to promote high order skills, learning through play…
