About Me
I am a qualified and experienced Early Years and primary school teacher at an Outstanding rated school, responsible for the leadership and management of lower school. Prior to teaching I worked as an au-pair, and have a raft of experience working with and supporting early years, primary children with a varying complexity of needs.
My passion is child development and providing a safe and nurturing environment to support children in meeting their needs. I am kind, calm and consistent in my approach and work well with parents and stakeholders to ensure that any child within my care has the best tailored provision for them.
I live in a small village near Driffield with my partner, a dog and two cats. We have recently welcomed a Ukrainian refugee family into our home, and have enjoyed sharing cultures, food and stories! My favourite hobbies include camping, attending the village book club and exploring the local area. I love going to the beach and areas of natural beauty, and am a big believer in the idea of 'no bad weather, just bad clothing' when it comes to giving children outdoor opportunities.
I do work full time in my role as a class teacher, but outside of 'school hours' can be very flexible to suit the needs of the child and family who may need me.
As a 'Gold' member I have full insurance for babysitting and liability. Please do ask to see the certificate if required, and all documents available to be viewed on request!
