About Me
I am a qualified primary school teacher that is currently looking for work life balance, so have moved from the classroom to supply teaching and tutoring. I love working with children and believe in child-centered learning. My aim is to develop individual learning plans to match each child and deliver them in an encouraging and engaging manner.
Outside of teaching, one of my main interests is History and visiting many historical sites in the UK. I also enjoy gardening and when not teaching, am usually found working on my garden that I have begun to landscape. Lastly, I am a mother to a lovely teenaged daughter.
My Experience
Before training to become teacher, I have completed BA degree in History and worked as a nanny for children aged 3-10. I am a trained Montessori teacher and worked in private eduction before moving to the state sector. In addition, I have a state teaching qualification and have worked as a primary school teacher in state eduction for the last 24 years. Therefore, I have an excellent knowledge of the national curriculum for primary and my main experience is with ages 3-12.
