About Me
Hello! My name is Brittany and I am a qualified nursery practitioner with experience supporting children ages 0-5. Also, I am currently a residential support worker with children with additional support needs (aged 0-18). Furthermore, I am studying Primary Education at university meaning I will be a qualified primary school teacher when I complete my course. I am familiar with both pre-birth to three and curriculum for excellence and I am confident implementing these into a child’s learning. I am a creative individual who understands the importance of a fun, stimulating environment in order to help children reach their full potential! I am not afraid to get messy and spend time out doors. I am adaptable and flexible therefore will have no issues adjusting to new environments.
My Experience
I am a qualified nursery practitioner as well as a residential support worker (children and young people with additional support needs). I have had experience volunteering in a primary school with children aged 8-11 and have recently completed a placement for university with children 0-5. I have experience supporting young people with autism and Down syndrome as well as other additional support needs. I also have some knowledge of Makaton.
