About Me
I have recently been blessed with a grandson who I would like to help take care of when his mum goes back to work next April. Consequently, I am looking for a 3 day a week position where I can continue to use my early years knowledge and skill. I love sharing books, messy play, crafts, nature and finding creative ways to help children learn through play. Driver and car owner.
My Experience
I have had a varied career spanning over 35 years! I have worked with children from newborn - as a maternity nurse - right up to teenagers - as a family worker. Currently working as manager of a day nursery but have over 15 years experience as a nanny/maternity nurse and 10 years as a childminder before this while my children were small. I have been an assessor of candidates completing NVQ in Childcare and Education and worked for the Pre-school Learning Alliance (now Early Years Alliance) as an outreach worker and an assessor of their quality assurance accreditation scheme, visiting settings to check standards. Setting SENDCo with lots of SEN experience, particularly ADHD and ASD.
My Qualifications
NNEB, Diploma in Post Qualifying Studies and Diploma of Higher Education in Community Education with Linguistics. DBS check and on update service. Current paediatric first aid certificate. Willing to register with Ofsted.
My Availability
Available from April 2023, possibly before. Evenings and weekends would be negotiable.
