About Me
Hi, my name is Orna Kelly, I have just turned 21 and I’m about to go into the second year of my teaching degree at St. Mary’s University College, Belfast.
I have a keen interest in sport and exercise and I am active member of Bredagh GAC Senior Ladies Gaelic team. Reading and socialising with friends are also what I spend my free time doing.
My Experience
I have ample experience looking after and caring for babies and children. I have been a paid babysitter since I was 15, but babysat for my family beforehand. I have babysat all ages of children right from the new born age and up to around 14 years old.
Through my work as a healthcare assistant I have basic first aid training, so in the case of an emergency I would know what to do. Also, I have knowledge of a wide range of conditions that may affect children from working in a pharmacy. My awareness of different conditions can help me to recommend different ways to remedy any symptoms.
Moreover, I have experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs, like Dyslexia and Dyscalculia, from my placement in a primary school in early 2022.
I have been a paid Cúl Camp/Summer camp coach since I was 17. Over the years, I have looked after many children with Autism and ADHD at these weeklong summer camps.
My Qualifications
11 GCSEs (including Mathematics, Further Mathematics, English Language and English Literature) all A*-A.
A-level Biology - A
A-level Nutrition and Food Science - A*
A-level Religious Studies - A*
First aid certificate (obtained through my work at Staff Nursing).
National Numeracy Certificate
Currently working towards my BEd in Education (4 year long degree course).
My Availability
My availability is subject to change in the next few weeks due to my classes at university re-commencing. I will, of course, update my availability as soon as I know my timetable for the week. Tuesday and Thursday evenings are unfortunately times I have a sporting commitment. Saturday availability changes from week to week between having work and attending sporting matches, however, it will be updated accordingly.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
Fees are of course negiotiable, however do keep in mind the minimum wage for 21 years old in the UK is £9.18 (latest from the Gov.uk website).
