Hello! :) I am a 25-year-old Australian female nanny with a background in electrical engineering.
I am kind, fun, and loving, and I have a natural ability to connect with children and enjoy helping them learn and grow in a safe and nurturing environment. I have always had a passion for working with children and find it such a rewarding experience. Coming from a large family, I have had plenty of experience looking after my siblings, nephews, and friends' babies and children.
In my free time, I enjoy playing (and watching) a variety of sports, cooking, getting creative with arts, fashion, travelling, volunteering, and spending time with my family and friends. I have strong connection to my family and understand the importance of family time and community.
My Experience
My experience in caring for little ones comes from my personal experience with family and friends. I have provided care to newborns, young children, and teenagers. I enjoy a close relationship with each of these children still and understand the value of what it means to be trusted and loved by these children.
I am a child at heart and enjoy hands-on with play that creates fun and uniquely engaging activities for children to help them learn and develop. I encourage all play: singing, dancing, running, swimming, sports, painting, and drawing. My degree in engineering also means that I am able to help with homework and school projects for children of all ages. I am patient teacher and am dedicated to ensuring that children understand the material they are working on and are able to complete their school work with confidence.
I have experience in looking after special needs babies and children. I have looked after children with ADHD and Autism. I have also looked after a baby with Shwachman-Diamond syndrome that required eternal feeding using a nutrica flow care machine and nasogastric tube.
I love to cook and know how to make nutritious meals that are kid friendly and I am great at housekeeping / cleaning.
I am comfortable with children of all ages and families of all sizes.
