About Me
I retired from working in the NHS in March 2023. Since then I have been active and busy with various part time paid and voluntary positions. As the grandparent of teenagers I am missing the company of children and would very much like to find a position where I can care for and help to educate young children. I have a passion for reading and art activities and would like to share and encourage these with children. I also enjoy cooking and walking and am good with animals.
My Experience
I am a mother and a grandmother to two teenagers. I was a regular, hands-on helper with the grandchildren for a number of years when they were young, as their parents both worked evening shifts. This involved providing an evening meal, playing games and reading, helping with homework and putting them to bed.
My Qualifications
Educated to degree level. Various care certificates including: autism awareness, fire prevention, infection prevention and control, food safety, client confidentiality, COSHH, basic life support, encouraging positive behaviours.
My Availability
I am available most evenings. Other times to be agreed but see below for a rough guide.
