My Experience

I have at least 3 years of experience with childcare, working as a private babysitter for several young families. The ages I’ve minded are between 5-8 years old and I have always received praise and positive feedback from the parents for being approachable, patient and efficient. I am able to gain references from them if requested.

The first family I babysat for was for a lovely little boy aged 5. My responsibilities included picking him up from school, entertainment at home and feed him before bed time. He became comfortable very quickly and we bonded really well. I’ve recently gone back to doing hours with this little boy who is now 8. My responsibilities now include picking up from school, helping with homework, dinner and getting him in bed ready for the next day of school.

I worked with another small family in Surrey, minding an adorable 5 year old girl. My responsibilities with her included school pick ups, reading and dinner in the evenings and bedtimes. She was at first quite shy and reserved, but quickly became comfortable around me and started coming out of her shell with me after the first couple of weeks. I ended my term with this family as the mother began working from home so no longer needed nannying work.

Another family I worked with was with a lovely twin girls, aged 8. My responsibilities included school pickups, preparing dinner and bedtime. One of the girls was quite shy and took a couple of days to warm to me, but with the help of some bonding exercises, like kiddie yoga and reading, and the encouragement of her lovely chatty sister, we quickly started to bond. We ended our term because the mother decided she no longer needed as many nannying hours around the holidays, but we stayed in touch and I’m still on their call list if ever needed.

My Qualifications

2+ years of nannying experience
Bachelors degree in English Literature and Creative Writing
Currently studying for a diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Nannying from £13.50 per hour (net)

Additional petrol fees depending on distance
