Hi all!
My name is Mel, I am 25 and work part time as an online teacher to children in China (I teach English, Speech and Drama, Public Speaking, and basic Mandarin).
I have been babysitting for almost a decade. I’m experienced with both the good (having fun and playing games) and the bad (tantrums, shower times, and bedtimes!)
I like to practise gentle and respectful “babysitting”. I speak to children with the same respect given to adults, and give them the space to safely share their thoughts and feelings. Misbehaviours or problems are worked through together by talking, explaining, and correlated consequences, rather than scolding and harsh punishments .
My Experience
I have experience babysitting children as young as 8 months old and am experienced with both indoor and outdoor babysitting. I’ve taken kids to and from school, gone for outings to parks and beaches, and I have always found it very easy and fun to connect with kids (we have LOADS of fun), on top of being a very reliable and trustworthy nanny. I am comfortable and experienced with pets as well (bonus fun for me!) ??
My Qualifications
I have babysat and worked as a primary school teacher in Singapore for almost a decade (since I was 16).
My Availability
My schedule is usually very flexible and can be available for weekends, overnight or long-term babysitting (a few days) or nightly babysitting if you want to go out on your date nights!

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.50 per hour
I’m quite flexible with my fees depending on what each parent requests and what each child requires. I also offer discounted rates for low income families.
