I'm a singer recently graduated in Jazz music. I'm a freelance vocal coach and I intend in the future to pursue music education to children. I'm an empath person who cares and listens.
My Experience
I grew up in a small beach town called Nazare in Portugal. I started have my first brother when I was 4 years old, and I remember from 9 years old to take care of him while my parents were working. My mother had a part time job, so it wasn't much time alone with him, but since early I took the responsibility to feed him and take care of him. Since I'm the older one till now I feel that way of protecting and help in all the ways I can. Then when I was sixteen years old, I had my first cousin and since he was baby, I remember enjoying so much being with him and play with him while he was growing. When he was about five, I put him playing piano and the result was fabulous! Then I took a job in a beach library when I had to deal with people with all ages, including kids, prepare activities and help them to read, playing games... I enjoy very much being around with them and some people say that all kids tend to like me, and till now I can't deny it, and that really makes me happy. As a babysitter within family, I think I spent 4 to 8 hours with them when my family asked for help, I looked after my cousins and my responsibility was to pick them in school, feed them, play with them, and help them in homework’s school. I want to make kids feel open about their feelings, give them somehow freedom to express themselves in creative ways and that can be in music or in other activities like drawing, writing, sports... I want to make them feel I'm there to support them, so in that way I only can be calm and loving with them, be empathic and understand them to help them grow happy and strong emotionally within themselves. I'm usually very empathic with everyone, with kids I'm even more, so I can easily understand what they’re feeling about something.
