My name is Felipe and I'm 28 years old.
I am currently doing a volunteer work in a place with campsites, lodges and pods in the Highlands, Scotland.
I spent my last months working on a Cruise Ship as a Youth Worker. Apart from that, I also work as a digital marketer and exchange program mentor.
I'm Brazilian and my last experience with children as I said, was on a Cruise Ship (during a seven's month contract) doing European Route (Italy, France and Spain).
I have a lot of experience with children, teenagers and young people.
I am very patient, energetic, enthusiastic and mature, I have led the youth and children department in the church for many years and I know how to deal with different types of situations and people.
I'm always responsible for organizing events and activities with them at church and community, which means I'm good at providing fun and entertainment.
In 2019 I went to England as a volunteer, there I worked as a Youth Worker in primary and secondary schools.
In schools I had the role of bringing fun to the children during lunch clubs and drama clubs.
I also held assemblies every week covering various essential topics such as love and forgiveness.
Every day we also had drop-in after school at a youth center, where we received children and young people for games and sports.
In the houses I lived in England, there were always children and although my job was in schools, I used to help with whatever was needed at home, from helping with the children's homework, to playing with them, preparing some snacks and stuff.
I am also very willing to help with household chores, such as washing dishes, serving dinner, helping with gardening, among other things.
In Brazil, I live with mother and 10 years old nephew. I help my mom to look after him since my brother passed away three years ago and she is in charge of him now.
Also my sister lives upstair with her husband and her 2 years old baby. I also help her to look after my niece. I really love being with them.
It would be a great pleasure for me to be part of your family and be useful in whatever you need.
I intend to stay here in Scotland until November, so, afterwards I’ll be free for a new role.
By the way, I have safeguarding training and valid DBS check in the UK.

My Experience
My last experience was working on a cruise ship as a Youth Staff. My role was to take care of children from 3 to 11 years old and give them the best vacation of their lives. I was responsible for carrying out recreational activities, games, serving lunch and dinner daily, as well as ensuring their safety.
I’ve got two references for both managers I got there.
Still about my experiences with kids, I worked as a volunteer for almost 6 years in my church's children's department. There I had direct contact with the children and helped them in their personal and spiritual growth, providing games, competitions, studies and rehearsals for singing in the children's choir.
I help raise my 10 year old nephew since he was a baby and my 3 year old niece too.
I help them, from spending time with them playing, bathing, changing clothes, giving food, among other things, such as reading to them and teaching english.
As I said, I was also a volunteer in England in primary and secondary schools and spent most of my days with the children, as my host families always had children too.
In schools, in addition to assemblies and lunch clubs, I participated in reading events, for example, and helped young children with reading books and encouraged them to read and tell stories.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in International Business.
I am native in Portuguese and I consider myself fluent in English, although I need to improve my vocabulary. But I can communicate and understand perfectly.
I am currently also studying Spanish, although due to the similarity with Portuguese, I can understand and communicate quite well. Also I speak a bit of Italian, I’m studying hard it, since I needed it by working with Italian kids on board.
