About Me
I take pride in working with children of various ability levels and ages, and helping them become the people their parents would want them to be. I've worked with children of all ages as a tutor and as a carer, with an assortment of difficulties, from working as head counsellor of a summer camp to teaching children with Kumon and fundraising for child organisations with my local borough council.
My Experience
Experienced carer with thousands of hours of childcare experience, from tutoring Maths and English at primary level, tutoring Maths and Science at a secondary school level, to living in cabins with children for weeks on end. I have 2 summers of experience at a summer camp in the USA working with children of a variety of ages, from 10-15, and was eventually promoted to head counsellor of our boys unit. I have worked as a lifeguard in the USA and as a security officer in the UK, meaning that not only am I extensively DBS checked, but I am also highly first aid trained and have a cool head in a crisis. I've worked with children with a variety of challenges, from ASD and autism, to ADHD, depression, anxiety and eating disorders, and have tutored both privately and for Kumon.
