About Me
I am a caring, reliable and outgoing person with over 5 years of experience working with children between the ages of 1-13 years old. I was born and raised in Hong Kong but am currently pursuing a Masters in Biological Sciences at UCL. At the moment, I am based in North London.
I am passionate about education and sports and endeavour to be as physically and mentally active with children when I babysit. I also like cooking and have experience in creating tasty nutritious meals enjoyed by children, even picky eaters! I also used to own three turtles but now currently own a dog, so am comfortable working with various animals.
My Experience
My primary experience with childcare is in the form of private tutoring, having worked for both a private tutoring company and independently (self-employed). However, I also have babysitting/childminding experience as I have regularly cared for the children of multiple families (one family with an 8 month old baby and another family with a 6yo girl and 8yo boy). I previously volunteered at a charity called Action Care which acted to provide supporting services to families in poverty. These services included free day-care for primary and kindergarten children; often this day-care would involve engaging with the children through educational and entertaining activities.
Regarding pets, I’ve owned a dog for 9 years so I’m confident in my abilities to feed, walk, wash and train a wide range of dogs.
My Qualifications
A-Levels (Biology, Chemistry, Maths) - 3 x A
Currently pursuing Integrated Masters in Biology at UCL (undergraduate) - first class mark in first, second and third year.
