About Me
I'm a friendly, creative and child-led performer looking for more work either on an ad hoc or regular basis. I love day trips out to the beach, the park, museums and love to make a joyful and exciting experience out of mundane activities!
I also love to help organise, I understand neurodivergent houses and provide a judgement free space to reset and get your home back to being a sanctuary that is functional to you!
I have worked as a professional story-teller (Yes it's a real job!) and have done extensive work in childrens literature, promoting reading for pleasure to young people so am passionate about reading, creative writing and the confidence that comes from reading aloud with, to and from children.
My Experience
I'm a performer and workshop facilitator, with high safeguarding knowledge and 10+ years of experience running drama, art and storytelling workshops as a freelancer, working with theatres, museums and community organisations. I have worked in school settings, mainstream, alternative and SEN settings, worked with home educators. I also have a niece and nephew who I have been providing free childcare to since I was 19! I have worked with children and teenagers with PTSD, who are neurotypical, who are learning disabled, physically disabled, who have experienced abuse, eating disorders, care experienced, and much more.
My Qualifications
BA Acting and Community Theatre from East 15 Acting School (Studied child development, learning styles, working with people with learning disabilities)
2 years as a paediatric sexual assault crisis worker in NHS - high level of safeguarding and consent knowledge
