About Me
I am a psychology student with a special interest in developmental psychology, and I am currently on placement at the University of Surrey. I pride myself on being able to connect and understand anyone. Especially neurodivergent children who might experience and interact the world differently than others, I feel I am able to describe content and answer questions in a way they will be able to understand.
My Experience
I have experience working with a range of different children with different abilities and interests. I have worked as a teaching assistant, once focusing on acting and once in a Montessori setting. I have also had experience as a personal math tutor for students aged 8 - 10. I have mostly worked in primary school settings. During my placement year I have been involved in research into children with genetic syndromes. The research has been focused on understanding how they experience the world and therefore how to evolve our current support to better enhance their quality of life and their carer's life. This has been rewarding and has helped me to better understand a population of people I had not been involved with in the past.
My Qualifications
I have a DBS check, am a third year undergraduate psychology student due to graduate 2025, A levels in English (A*), Maths (B) and Drama (A*) and an Extended Project Qualification (A*).
