My name is Maya, and I’m an EYFS Primary School Teacher with a passion for helping children grow, learn, and thrive. I trained at Bath Spa University and am now going into my third year of teaching.
I have experience working in nurseries as well as in primary school settings, so I understand how to support children at different stages of their early development. I believe in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel confident to explore, play, and learn.
My Experience
I have extensive experience working with children in the Early Years. I began my career as an EYFS teacher in a nursery, where I supported the learning and development of children through play-based and structured activities. I then progressed to teaching in Reception for a full academic year, taking responsibility for the care and education of a class of 29 children.
Alongside my professional experience, I have provided regular childcare and babysitting for family and friends, caring for children of various ages. Coming from a large family, I am surrounded by children in my personal life, which has given me a deep understanding of their needs, behaviours, and stages of development.
My Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Early Years.
- Paediatrics First Aid.
My Availability
I am available throughout the summer holidays during both days and evenings, as well as on selected weekends and evenings during term time.
