My Experience

I currently work as a Teaching Assistant in a Montessori setting, where I support children with their learning, play, and development. My role involves planning and leading age-appropriate activities, helping children build independence and confidence, and ensuring their wellbeing throughout the day. I also assist with daily routines such as snack times, outdoor play, and transitions, while promoting positive behaviour and social skills. This experience has given me strong skills in working with children of different ages and abilities, always ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. This combination of hands-on experience and academic knowledge allows me to provide thoughtful, safe, and engaging care tailored to each child.

My Qualifications

I hold an enhanced DBS clearance and have completed a Level 1 Certificate in Safeguarding, ensuring that I can prioritise and promote children’s safety and wellbeing at all times. I also hold a Level 2 Certificate in Safe Handling of Medication, which means I am trained to manage and administer medication safely when needed. In addition, I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychology, which deepens my knowledge of child development and behaviour and allows me to apply this understanding in practice when supporting children’s growth and learning.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £14.00 per hour

My standard rate is £10 per hour for daytime childcare for one child, and increases to £15-20 per hour for weekends, or additional children. I’m happy to discuss rates for regular bookings or special needs so that we can agree a fair arrangement for both of us. I aim to keep my fees reasonable and reflective of the quality of care I provide. I’m happy to chat with families to agree on a rate that works for both sides.”
