About Me
I come from a big family and have always been surrounded by kids, so caring for little ones has been a natural part of my life from an early age. I’ve spent countless hours looking after my younger cousins, which taught me early on how to be patient, fun, and responsible. Whether it’s keeping kids entertained, helping with homework, or making sure bedtime routines go smoothly, I genuinely enjoy creating a safe and happy environment for children.
My Experience
I began babysitting at the age of 13 and continued regularly for a few years, gaining hands-on experience with children of all ages. Over time, my responsibilities grew to include school pick-ups, preparing meals, helping with homework, bedtime routines, and occasionally staying overnight when needed.
One of my roles involved working with a family from China, where I not only cared for their daughter but also supported her in learning English through play and conversation. I also had the opportunity to travel with a family to assist in caring for their daughter who has autism. I provided full-time nanny support throughout the holiday, ensuring she felt comfortable, supported, and engaged. After that, I continued nannying for her on a daily basis.
These experiences have helped me build strong skills in communication, patience, and adaptability, and I genuinely love being a supportive and positive presence in children’s lives.
My Qualifications
Before starting college, I completed a two week work experience at a nursery where I supported the staff with daily routines, play-based learning activities, and caring for children in a safe and nurturing environment. This experience helped solidify my passion for working with children and gave me a great foundation in early years care.
I studied Health and Social Care at college, which gave me a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and effective communication with children and families.
