My Summary
Behaviour Mentor & Specialist Nanny | Holistic, Sen-Aware | Safeguarding & Child Law Background
About Me
I am a Behaviour Mentor and Specialist Nanny offering holistic, SEN-aware support to children and young people who benefit from calm, consistent and emotionally attuned care. I bring together professional childcare experience with a strong safeguarding and child-law background, allowing me to support children with complex needs while offering families reassurance and stability.
I work gently and thoughtfully, believing that behaviour is communication and that children thrive best when they feel safe, understood and supported. My aim is to help children feel settled and confident, and to support families in feeling calmer, stronger and more secure together.
My approach is holistic, play-based and child-led. I work calmly and naturally, using play, routine and meaningful activities to build trust and emotional safety. I enjoy incorporating outdoor time, movement, baking, creativity and shared hobbies to support emotional regulation and connection.
With older children and teenagers, I focus on confidence-building, healthy coping strategies and goal-setting, helping them explore their strengths, interests and aspirations in a supportive and empowering way.
My Experience
I have over six years’ experience working with vulnerable and looked-after children across a range of settings, including nurseries, behavioural schools and children’s homes. I have supported children aged 1–17 with a wide range of emotional, behavioural and developmental needs, including autism, emotional dysregulation, poor mental health, school refusal and reintegration into education.
My experience includes working within both shared and single-occupancy homes, supporting children with complex trauma backgrounds who required high levels of safeguarding, emotional support and nurturing care. This has given me a deep understanding of how consistency, trust and calm boundaries help children feel safe and supported.
In my current role as a Family Practitioner, I work alongside families involved in the family court process, supporting parents to co-parent positively and effectively. I help reduce conflict, promote healthy communication and ensure that children’s wishes and feelings are heard and considered.
I work with families from diverse cultural and social backgrounds and support children aged 1–15. This role has strengthened my ability to remain calm, child-focused and balanced in complex situations, skills which translate naturally into my work with private families.
My Qualifications
Fully insured with public liability cover. Certificate available on request.
I am currently in my final year at The University of Law, studying Law with Business, with a strong academic focus on safeguarding, children’s rights and family dynamics. I plan to continue my studies with a Master’s in Child Law to further strengthen my expertise in supporting children and families.
Alongside my academic studies, I hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care and I am first aid trained, ensuring I am able to respond calmly and appropriately to children’s physical and emotional needs.

I found Charlie, to be incredibly calm, reliable and supportive, and a real reassurance to our family during the early days with our twins. She has a gentle, natural way with newborns and was especially supportive to my wife, offering practical help alongside genuine care and reassurance. Her strong awareness of safety and routine meant we always felt our babies were in very safe and capable hands, and I would happily recommend her to any family seeking trustworthy support during the newborn stage.
