I have 30 years plus experience with children and adults with needs.

Qualified N.N.E.B Diploma in nursery nursing (n.v.q 4 Foundation degree equivalent)

I have 3 adult children and 1 teenage child at school . I have experienced as a parent having a child with hearing loss and a child with Adhd and dyspraxia the trials and the amazing accomplishments a parent experiences and the skills you learn to support them through life to be successful happy adults despite all the hurdles, moving forward with strength courage and determination.

I enjoy a lot of walks cycling and swimming , play guitar and crochet , draw and paint.

I am an experienced meditator and really enjoy this aswell as doterra oils for holistic healing of the whole person .

I have level 3 in counseling and psychotherapy and enjoy supporting family and friends

using my Counselling skills and Empathy listening with solution focussed ear to support to help them empower themselves.

I have a

Diploma in Indian head massage and enjoy working in this holistic way for family and professionally

I enjoy music and festivals crafts and making nutrition dishes for better healthy living.

I have a good understanding of gut health and how sugar impacts on health learning how to eat healthy for immune and brain support is of great interest for me. I enjoy studying herbs and spices and trying new combinations to treat ailments holistically to compliment health

My Experience

NNEB in Nursery Nursing

I am qualified in the N.N.E.B Diploma in nursery nursing in 1989.

This qualification involved a

3 years course to gain experience in child care in health and education. I gained experience on a children's ward, in social care, working with health visitors, home placement, and school placements.

One week in college theory work and the next in work based experience for 2 years with assignments and exam based qualifications at the end, and an extra year of extended learning in Special needs.

Counselling Experience

I have a level 2 and 3 qualification in Counselling skills and psychotherapy .

This involved 3 years counselling training in psychology psychotherapy person centred therapy, CBT and solution focused skills therapy in a college setting.

I have used my counselling skills at work when behavours that mirror and create anxiety spikes in the children I support and in adults struggling with emotional issues I am able to bring solution focused

support Empathy and listening skills. to promote change

I have run Rainbows and Brownies group in Wolverhampton in 2009 and in Corvedale in 2014 taking brownies on camp to Church Stretton and doing various fund raising events.

I have ran a mom and toddler group for church hall community in wombourne in 1995 and in 2006 in Wolverhampton creating a space for moms and babies to socially integrate and support each other.

I did a bereavements course in 2009 to help people come to terms with loss and process the whole journey of loss denial anger and acceptances of loss.

I worked on Tyler ward childrens ward at Royal hospital Wolverhampton caring for children going into operations or recovering from illness and injury, supporting parents in anxous moments making their stay in hospital manageable and safe also looking after their emotional care.

I worked on special care baby unit in New Cross hospital Wolverhampton in 2011 caring for prem and poorly Newborn babies and mothers helping with feeds meds preparing Ent tubes and doing daily records .Hand washing . Supporting breastfeeding diet and anxiety related issues for mothers and fathers.

Adult care experience

I have been a Special needs support worker with Adults with special needs working for Condover college in Shrewsbury . Here I took students with several learning and physical disabilities to horse riding , physio,swimming,cooking,makaton sign and dance, and social event managing behavour related to anxiety or their needs with skill and confidence. I went on residential holiday with them to seaside. worked on care plans and documents as well as record keeping.

Education Experience

I have worked as a T.A. / Nursery Nurse in many School settings.
