Hey, I’m Rohini and live in Hertfordshire
I am currently working in children and family services as a parenting intervention practitioner for a local council. This requires working alongside parents build secure attachments with their children using Thera-play. This is a form of therapy using nurture, structure, challenge and engagement activities.
I have over 10 years of studying and developing practical experience within child care.
I have worked in a variety of childcare settings from childminders, crèches, nursery’s to primary schools.
I also have a driving license and own car to travel. I am DBS checked and have first aid training.
I enjoy implementing creative activities, encouraging development and learning an being part of children journeys growing up!, I am very passionate about caring for children, I am a fun easy going professional. I also influence having positive relationships and effective communication with the parents and sharing experiences about their children.
My Experience
In addition to my current job I have been an tutor/ assessor for childcare qualifications/apprenticeships. Teaching young people/adults the childcare requirements to work in nursery’s, primary school etc. Knowledge and practical.
I have managed a crèche from 0-7years. I used to run activity sessions and holiday activity groups at virgin active health club.
I have worked in various childcare settings with children age ranges 0 to 9 years. I have worked in nurseries and primary schools. I have been a key worker for children helping to encourage their learning and development. I have been a positive role model with active communication and listening to meet the needs for children and parents.
I have also done baby sitting. Which required pick up and drop offs. Healthy eating. Some activities. Bathing and putting to sleep.
I have looked after many children, nieces and nephews that have helped me develop my approach and enlightened me through me being part of their up-bringing.
