From a young age, my love for children has been evident. With two younger siblings, aged 5 and 2, I've cherished every moment spent playing and bonding with them. Currently, I'm in my second year at university, pursuing a degree in Operating Department Practice (ODP). In this degree, I'm immersed in the intricate world of surgical theaters, where I prepare the environment, ensuring that all instruments and equipment are in place for anaesthesia, surgery, or patient recovery. This journey not only aligns with my passion for working with children but also fuels my commitment to ensuring their safety and well-being during medical procedures.
My Experience
Currently, I am a ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) tutor, specialising in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Working collaboratively with an ABA therapist, we develop individualised programs aimed at addressing the unique challenges faced by each child, such as managing waiting times and responding to demands. Through these tailored interventions, we've witnessed remarkable progress in our students' development. This hands-on experience has honed my expertise in working with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), equipping me with the skills to effectively manage and address difficult behaviours while nurturing positive outcomes.
