My Summary

My Experience

Hello, I have 17 years of experience working with children in total. For the first 4 years of my career I did my Montessori training and for three quarters of that time was fortunate enough to work in a purpose-built Montessori classroom setting. I have a passion for child-education within the home because I believe the home is the most important "learning ground" for a child - especially in their first 7-8 years of life. I have always enjoyed working with children in an educational environment - and I consider the "child's home environment" as being the most important contributory factor towards their education. Hence, I see my role as a Nanny as working in Partnership with the Parents towards the continual progression of the child/ren's holistic education and development.

I always keep the home environment clean and tidy because first, it benefits everyone and second, it's good role-modelling to children. Role-modeling I have discovered to be a very "powerful" influence over children's behaviour and definitely has taught me to make well considered choices especially around children.

Working with children of different ages is always an enjoyable way of broadening my experience. Having worked as a Montessori Teacher, plus also with a number of families with children of different ages I am able to differentiate activities to suit the age/stage needs of the children involved.
I believe in the expression; "you are what you eat" therefore it's extremely important to provide children with good, freshly prepared healthy meals. - I've actually discovered that simply role-modelling healthy eating - I love all health foods (!) - is the best way to encourage children who are more picky with food to eat more vegetables and various other healthy foods.
In addition to enjoying a variety of educational activities with children within the home, it's also fun to take young children out to various groups and activities and on afternoons/ days out.
If I was going to sum up my approach in a few words I would say; “to enable children to grow up into adults who feel capable of dealing with all areas of life and knowing they can create a successful outcome no matter how difficult the challenge.” Thank-you for taking the time to read my profile.

I am Montessori trained and have a Theology Degree with and Art Minor.

My Availability

Hello I am available Full Time 3-5 Days a week depending on hours, immediate start!

My Fees

• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)

£400-£550 NPW depending on times and family requirements.
