Currently a University of Glasgow Student (Archaeology and English Language) and museum practitioner with a passion for working with young people and children. I am an energetic, patient person with a bit of a nerdy side - if your kid wants to talk about cars, sci-fi or Lego we'll be on to a winner!
My Experience
I am an experienced Summer Camp Counsellor of all ages, but specialising in under-10s. This involved round-the-clock care of the children, being with them from wake-up to bedtime, with a real strong on building my own relationship with the children and facilitating their relationships with others. Alongside this pastoral role, I also ran daily classes in performing arts and filmmaking. I also have experience, both personal and professional, with neurodivergent children. Further to this, I have work experience in a wide variety of educational contexts including schools and museums, and have a passion for finding alternative ways to engage children and young people in history and culture.
My Qualifications
I am PVG checked from previous childcare positions, and recently received the Si Hands Giving Tree Award for Outstanding Service to Youth.
My Availability
I have university classes 3 days a week (Tue, Wed, Fri) usually finished by 12. I do have a second job at a local museum, but this is very flexible/zero hour.
