Hey there! I'm Lucy, a 19 year old super energetic and responsible babysitter with 4 years of experience. I love playing games, reading stories, and creating awesome crafts with kids. Safety is always my top priority, so you can trust that your little ones are in good hands. I have always loved child minding and I have experience in different areas such as babysitting, child activity camps and daytime care.
I am currently a second year University student at Cardiff studying History! On top of learning my degree I also want to be able to develop my independent child care skills further. I am happy to meet first and have a ‘trial’ just so you feel comfortable with me caring for your lovely children??
My Experience
Over the past four years, my babysitting journey has been filled with joy, growth, and unforgettable moments.
Through countless bedtime stories, and scraped knees, I've learned the importance of patience, adaptability, and quick thinking. Each child I've cared for has had their unique personality, needs, and quirks, and it has been a rewarding challenge to connect with them on an individual level.
I have taken part in a yearly summer activity camp now for the last 3 years. At this camp I would be in charge of planning day to day activities for 5-6 year olds. Whether that would be inside doing arts and crafts or outside on the bouncy castle! This was a huge responsibility for me which I successfully done so and will carrying on partaking in it every year.
As I reflect on my four years of babysitting experience, I am grateful for the opportunity to have made a positive impact in the lives of these young ones. It has been a privilege to be a part of their growth, to provide a safe and loving environment, and to witness the joy that comes from nurturing and caring for children.
I look forward to many more years of babysitting adventures, as each experience continues to shape me and remind me of the incredible gift it is to be a part of a child's world
