About Me
Hello! My name is Mel and I'm looking for childcare or pet care work! Due to my lots of experience, I am more than happy to take on a range of responsibilities that suit you or your child - whether that be school pick ups, homework help, tutoring, evening and night time babysitting, weekend work or even making breakfast and doing the school drop off in the morning! I always aim to make the time children spend with me fun and engaging, and will always work to ensure the safety and welfare of your children.
My Experience
I have plenty of experience working as a house sitter, pet sitter and child minder! I have experience picking children up from school, cooking meals and helping them with their homework. I've also looked after children for several days at a time, responsible for not only their general health, safety and welfare, but also for organising and leading fun and engaging activities for children. I've looked after a variety of pets: hamsters, cats, dogs and horses, and am happy to include them in my work schedule! Having also worked as a house sitter, I am also very aware of house security and how to maintain a safe household. I've also worked in a local riding school, assisting in instructing children to ride horses and ponies. Outside of actual work experience, I have experience working on the civilian committee for my local RAF Air Cadets group, helping with administrative duties and coming up with ideas for cadet activities, as well as working a junior sports coach, coaching locally, regionally and nationally. My qualifications include: Sports (LVL 3), and A Levels in English Language, History and Sociology. I am also proficient in basic maths. Have a basic DBS certificate.
